To operate, a halogen oven uses infrared energy that is circulated throughout the oven propelled by a fan. The heat is produced from a halogen lamp that is found in the oven to facilitate the cooking.
As the heat is circulated in the oven, it penetrates through the food being prepared to cause vibrations hence producing the heat to have it cooked.

It is safe to say that the halogen ovens are used by people in different, if not all, walks of life.
As mentioned earlier, learning how to use the oven is not hard. All you need to know are the basics and you are good to go. There is usually that disquiet that comes when you have a new appliance and using it for the very first time. But once you use it for a couple of times, you become more adept and it gets easy to operate.
While cooking, the bowl of the oven gets hot so it requires a lot of space on the worktop, you know, for safety. Some may go further like placing a heat-proof mat under the oven which is not really necessary because there is a metal resin base frame that keep the unit raised from the surface.
The next thing you need to do is place the ingredients on a dish, cooking tin or plate before placing it on either the high rack or the low rack. The two racks are very useful because when used, they allow air to circulate around the food. The low rack is useful for baking, roasting, defrosting, slow-cooking and steaming whereas the high rack is for toasting, searing, frying and grilling. The Cooking Process
When done placing the food in the oven, the next thing you need to do is set the required time of the food to fully cook on the timer. Normally, you have up to 60 minutes to preset. While at it, you also have to set the required temperature, which ranges from 0 - 2500C. The motor fan in the oven will begin to operate once the timer is set. The timer and temperature functions are very important since the oven cooks many types of food which require different cooking durations. When you look at the manual, cooking times of various types of food are suggested in most of them. There is no need to pre-heat the oven because it heats up pretty fast. A thermostat in the unit monitors the heat inside the oven and also maintains the required temperature.
